Hi
I have recently just applied for a mortgage and they have come back and queried a partial settled account from August 2016.
This was settled in full and the mortgage company are asking for a letter stating that there is no balance outstanding.
The company that has recorded this won't issue a letter but have said that it will be rectified and reflect on my credit report by Monday at the latest. I'm at a loss really why they won't just send me a letter.
Does this sound right? Do lenders have access to more up to date files because I know mine only updates every 30 days.

They can contact the credit agency directly to update it pretty much strait away i think. I couldn't say why they won't send a letter.
I'm currently facing a similar situation! My mortgage advisor at which mentioned a similar situation to yours which inspired me to phone my bank and persist until they sorted it out I'm hoping they will sort my situation out now.0
