Ive done the text to columns approach with a certain amount of success.
Will check out the YT video later. Ive tried setting the delimiters (in the text to column box) to tabs, but it doesnt appear to effect the cell in any way.

That will be because once the data record is in the single cell there are no longer any tabs -during the loading process of the file the tabs are effectively stripped out. Using the text to columns function you need to use whatever is then in the cell (you are left with those characters you identified in your earlier post and not by then any tabs)0
