Default applied 6 month period

Hi there,
just looking through my Equifax credit file and it's pretty clean thesedays bar a few things that are getting cleaned/removed, i found this one

however stupid this actually is having a default for £49, it was that creditbuilder account thing with CashPlus and i really wasn't aware of this facility as i never really used the card at all (basically applied and forgot all about it)
Anyway's ive settled this with Cashplus and the default should be now "Settled/Satisfied" but the rule of 3-6 month of having to apply a default to my account, is this a way of removing this one? it appears they applied it after the first arrears of non payment of 10 months! is that right, are they allowed to do this?

Are they allowed to do what exactly? You didn't pay for those months, so they are reporting the account correctly. You can, of course, ask them to remove it, but I wouldn't hold my breath as they have a duty to report accounts truthfully.
The silver lining is that it's a tiny amount, that is now settled, and with time it will mean less and less and eventually !!!!!! away.0
