Hi first post be kind! Balance transfer or credit card

Hi I have a very account and I'm paying minimum payment each month and not much debt being paid,, amount under 1000 but still quite a big debt as unemployed at moment. Should I apply for 0% interest free credit card or balance transfer card,, been trying to figure this out so any knowledge appreciated.

Thanks Sharon :p

  • if you could get a 0% balance card then definitely do it and shift that very debt - their interest is crazy high!

I am not sure what your chances are of getting either whilst unemployed... Are you likely to be finding new employment soon and being able to start making inroads in this?

You may want to post up your full Statement Of Accounts and we can have a look at how to direct you best :)

We are always nice on this forum Sharon !!

But, if your unemployed, I doubt you will be able to get any further credit, much better idea to write to very, telling them your circumstances, and asking to hold off on the interest for say 6 months.

They can be very unhelpful on occasions shop direct (very's owner) but if you don't ask, you don't get.

Is the unemployment likely to be long term ?
