hi forums
I bought a refurbished tv on 31st December and received on 5th. from ebay argos outlet. I set up the tv and added my hdmi items and noticed the connecter is very loose and hdmi doesnt connect. therefore its unfit for purpose.
I have emailed argos and the have said to got through the returns. the thing is I am unable to post this item as I do not have transport esp for a 48 tv. which I feel they are going to say to me. hence why I ordered an item this big online as it easiest for me.
just wondered if many have dealt with this and do argos collect from my house and repair under the 6 month warranty.

Repair, probably not. Replace or refund most likely.
Do they still have them listed? If not it will be a refund.
Open a dispute and see what they say.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Argos will arrange collection from your house and refund.
You then have to order again if available.0 -
I bought a refurb TV from Argos Outlet on ebay, had 12 months guarantee. After 11 months it went wrong, contacted them asking if they could send someone to repair and they said they did not repair but refunded in full and sent a courier to collect it. Very fair I thought.
I would contact the returns department as advised by Argos before opening a dispute, surely you only start disputing when the seller has done something wrong. The OP is only assuming they wont collect which is in fact wrong as they do.0 -
Follow the returns process that's what it is there for.
I have used it several times without any problems.
Returned, refunded and then purchased another item - no problem.
Don't open a dispute at this point as the returns process is there to cover the problem.Thoughts:
