Minister baywatch parking fine

Hi
I need some advice. So I received a parking fine from minister baywatch and it went to small claims court I defended the claim as the fine was issued at 7 in the morning and the sign clearly states you have to vacate the area by 10am so I was gone before that time I also contested it as the address that the fine and corresponding letters was sent to I don't live there anymore Its my mums house the car is just registered there when I bought it years ago. It's been difficult to pick up the letters and see what was going on. That's my defence, they have now sent me small claims direction questionnaire, what do I do now and what are the chances of me winning this case? I received a letter from Gladstone who are the solicitors and they have said the claimant is willing to listen to offers of payment you may have. I am thinking I offer to pay the initial 100 pound as I didn't receive the initial letters so the increase is unfair. I'm saying this as I just want this sorted and gone it's annoying. What does everyone think?

Thanks

if you allow it to be done "on paper" they will add extra info that you swill not see and loose , there will not be any court costs as such , whereas if you drag them to YOUR local court it will cost them £300-500 in order to claim £100-160

with those finacial odds and your determination they will back down close to court , simply by not paying the remaing fee

mostb of those claims are bluff , start taking poker lessons NOW!

Please start reading other threads and learning from them. Read the thread by 'Gin and Milk' and 'hopsfield' who have both got past the stage you are at and asked exactly the same question, despite DQ stage already being covered in the NEWBIES thread in the link to bargepole's advice about court paperwork.

Read their threads because they are nearly at hearing stage and just did their Witness Statements re Gladstones claims. You need to be ahead of the game, not receiving court paperwork and not knowing what to do. You should be expecting it - you are on a forum that tells you what happens next and what to do.

Preparation and work on your part, will assist you to try to rescue this from the weak defence you have shown above.

Anyway read the two threads I mentioned and when you get your own DQ from the court this week, you will known EXACTLY the covering letter to include with it, refusing to have the case heard 'on the papers (because you would lose).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
