Hi,
I'm looking for advice about old CCJ's showing on my credit file. I had a huge one, £24k, that was completely cleared almost 2 years ago. It still shows on my file. They won't remove it without a notice of satisfaction from the court, but they say they can't provide this as it was never properly registered. All I have is the letter of satisfaction from the bank, HSBC, to say it has been paid. This is not proof enough for the credit agencies, so I'm stuck. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Are you saying it should be removed because it's over 6 years old?
Or because you paid it within a month of judgement?0 -
Hi
Just to clarify, the CCJ should not be removed from your credit file simply by paying it off. It would need to be for one of the reasons zx81 mentions above.
