Pipe work and drainage

Morning all,
Had a quote yesterday to fix some broken/poorly fitted pipes but it seems a little pricey so thought I'd check opinion (we're in Bristol):
"Works to replace existing waste/pipes fittings and add drainage channels. Existing pipes to be removed and replaced with new solvent weld pipe/fittings securely fixed to wall with pipe clips. We recommend breaking out the concrete step to dig out and reveal underground drains. Once drainage is sorted, we would lay a damp course membrane across the pathway between the rear and garden wall to prevent damp ingress through the bathroom wall. A new 'Aco' draining channel along the rear would then be installed"
Quote including labour and materials £720 +VAT
They're a firm we already have in re-rendering the house and we uncovered the problem with the pipes during this. Previous owners have just slotted the pipes in to each other but they're not actually fitted together so the leak and the water just sits on the ground against the wall so we do need to sort it I just thought it would be a little cheaper.

Underground works of unknown can be very tricky to cost, It not unusual to dig a test hole at an agreed price to see what’s needed it could be a simple broken pipe etc it could be 20 ft down and drainage for 20 houses
Them seeing the site may make all the difference but there explanation of works doesn’t detail ? If your replacing broken pipe etc you’d say so not “Once drainage is sorted” , Add to that rendering and drainage are not common bedfellows in construction yes a good general builder could easily do these but quote as you have posted doesn't smack of good very ambiguous giving a price for unknown and as worded rings alarm bells of either inexperienced or conman ? I.d be very suspect of this...0
