I love, love love Savvy's post. Savvy - is your charity concerned with employment? Because there are so many people, not just the OP, who lose their confidence.
err, no ... but I do remember the day before starting my first 'proper' job in a number of years ... I was Absolutely Petrified.

We'd moved to a new city and all my fears were focused on catching the bus to work. I'd never had to use the bus in our previous location, always been able to walk or get a lift. From childhood I have a bit of a history of not knowing where to get off the bus either, and no sense of overall direction.

Honestly, for two pins I'd have stayed home. Getting the job had been a big enough shock, and getting there was almost too big a hurdle.

In the end, I gave myself a good talking to, and decided that if DS1 could manage to catch the bus to and from school in a strange city without assistance, it was a pretty poor show if I couldn't ...

    Wall of text warning.

Hey! What a well laid out letter, well-written, coherent, paragraphs... ;) No need for the warning, plus a summary too!

I'm retired and still occasionally get stress dreams where I'd doing university exams or during a previous career and not having a clue what to do..Feeling a fraud is not uncommon, but you're obviously capable of doing the job from the evidence of your post and CV and application or they wouldn't be wasting their time calling you to interview.

Go on, go along and surprise yourself. And good luck, everybody needs a little bit of luck..
