parcel farce growl!!!

ordered a part for a motorcycle on fri lunch , paid extra (size) for express tracked , about 17,00 recieve txt "your parcel willbe delivered on or before 9/1/2017

had a holiday day and sat at home , parcel showing as ??? , "we hav,nt got a clue - check back later"

5pm today rang the shop[ , "oh yup we forgot to give it to parcelforce , its gone today"

seem,s that the PF txt is sent when an order is made , not when they have the parcel in their possession

another holiday tomorrow !

Seems you should be growling at The daft a*** shop. They schedule deliveries when they are notified that something is being sent.

The fact the shop forgot to give it to them is on them.

yup , but why do parcelforce send a txt before they collect the parcel , had the system been that a txt was sent as it was scanned onto the van , I would not have waited in all day

umm , NO , poor system set up by parcelforce that sends a TXT , before the parcel has been collected , how about if the PF van had broken down / accident / stolen and parcel was not collected , the buyer (me ) would or could not know this and would go by the Txt

the TXT is sent out automaticly when an order is placed with PF , not when its collected or in the parcel system

the seller did no harm , I was to late for collection (sales did not know this) , but stupid PF sent a TXT even tho the cuttoff point had passed
