default notice

Options
am inviting comments on the following:
an original creditor defaulted me ages ago on a debt, but on assigning the debt to a debt collecting agency, recorded the amount owing as £0. DCA wrote to me asking for the money - I replied, giving reasons why I deemed the debt unenforceable, and they replied saying they would investigate, and their normal time for this was 4 months. After 4 months, the DCA updated the default with credit ref agency, with full amount, but have not written to me - now 5/6 weeks after default updated, still no correspondence from DCA - are they not meant to write to me before they issue default notice for any and all to see? Just find this a bit odd.

I think the oddness may be caused by your misunderstanding credit. You borrow money and then you pay it back as you agreed at the time of borrowing.

Call the DCA and make an arrangement to pay. They'll be more than happy to help you.
