Hi I am an Occupational Therapist so hope I may point you in the right direction. Firstly if you have an OT try asking them as sometimes buy them in bulk to sell to parents as cheaply as possible. If not they may also know whether any local firms sell then.

Also do you have a local disability shop? They usually have scooters, riser armchairs etc. They may have some or if not should be able to order them in.

Boots use to sell something similar but I have just looked online and they seemed to have stopped. Maybe worth asking in store incase they have any left.

This website sells the adult set for £11.70 plus p+p £7.50. www.euromedical.co.uk. The junior version costs £6.25 per item.

I am sure I have seem some very similar in one of the kiddies catalogue. If I find them I will let you know. HTH

Thanks so much for this information.

I have an 8 year old son who has dyspraxia. The caring cutlery is what our Occupational therapist recommended. I tried the hospital shop and they didn't have any so I have just ordered online from euromedical - A full set with postage cost me £25 but it is worth it.

Within 10 mins of his first OT session my son was able to cut up some playdough with them - I almost cried it was so amazing. He was so chuffed with himself!

I am livid.., just looked on ebay and found someone selling this caring cutlery (adult size) for £10 per piece (£25 the set) plus £3.00 postage (= £10 profit on the set). The web site given above is selling the set for £18 including postage. Absolute robbery of the disadvantaged. Unfortunately there is nothing anyone can do.., the person on ebay can charge what he likes.., and even more unfortunately, there is probably someone who will pay for them.

You can buy the complete adult set on amazon for £17.50 including postage http://www.amazon.co.uk/Homecraft-Caring-Cutlery/dp/B001W7CXQ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1273849330&sr=8-1
