VERO - How long do they last for?

Nesty

In August 2016, I got my first VERO.
Basically part of the EBAY snitch programme another competitor. It wasn’t from the manufacturer themselves.
Does anyone know how long VERO of this type lasts for? Is it indefinite. Somewhere I heard after 6 months they get wiped from the EBAY system.
Just have some stock I would like to recommence selling again.

I wouldn't recommend selling an item you have already been VERO'd for, regardless of how unjust you think it is.0

More info needed here. Was your item pulled from sale, or have you been banned from selling completely?
If the former (and your item is of course, genuine!) , it's up to you to contact the manufacturer or their representative (contact details will have been provided in the message sent to you by eBay before they pulled your item) to prove the items are authentic, then you will be able to re list AFAIK a VERO just doesn't "expire".Basically part of the EBAY snitch programme another competitor. I very much doubt it! eBay don't pull items based on a single complaint (or even multiple!) from other sellers. Large company's however, employ lawyers to scour eBay and Amazon looking for items they think are counterfeit before issuing eBay with legal notices to have them removed.0 -
I can still sell perfectly ok, just this item was pulled. The email address given wasn't the manufactor but another individual. Why I think it was the snitch programme as I was taking his business.
I emailed the person but got no reply.0 -

It would have been a legal representative from the company...... no chance it's someone "snitching" for their own personal gain. Even if it was, eBay wouldn't provide you with the other party's information.
Have you googled the email address? You may find it's some sort of IP lawyer.
This link provides you with information on how you can appeal the VERO, if you think it was issued incorrectly.

Assuming the company is still in this list
http://vero.ebay.com/
you are likely to fall foul of VERO again if you try to sell more items. Your Ebay account could be at risk and you could get an invitation from one of their lawyers to pay compensation for infringing their intellectual property rights.0 -

That link only applies in the US. Here in the UK, listings are just pulled and, I believe, no contact info for the claimed vero rights owner is provided, so it's almost impossible to challenge whether the person registering the vero actually has the right to do so.
US Ebay allows a seller to issue a counter notice, which means that the vero owner has 10 days to issue court proceedings against a seller, otherwise the listing is reinstated. Futher such abuse by the vero owner will see them kicked off the program.
UK ebayers get a much more raw deal.0
