Autograph Book Value/Where to Sell?

Wondered if anyone can help.
I have my mums old autograph book from the 60s which she is happy to sell.
It has all the Beatles and Rolling Stones autographes in it as well as various others (Howard Keel, Rolf Harris!, and more)
I have no idea how much this could be worth or where best to try and sell it.
Anyone any ideas?

You would need to get the Beatles ones checked for authenticity ( unless your mother personally witnessed the signing ) . A lot ( most ? ) where signed by their secretaries0 -
Thanks I will double check with her. Where would you get them authenticated?0

no idea - I would start with a "beatles autograph authentication" search on google0

That doesn't change the fact that some collectors will be interested in it.
OP, I'd suggest that after getting the autographs authenticated, maybe an auction house would be your best bet?0 -
In your shoes I would be talking to the music memorabilia experts of the Major London Auction Houses. They will want to see and authenticate.
eBay really is not the best way to go forward with this.0 -
Any provenance - especially with documentation - will help the value. Did your mum meet the bands? If so, are there any photographs or ticket stubs or anything similar to substantiate this? If not, where did she get the autographs?
Have to agree that a specialist auction house is the place for these. If you list them on eBay, most people will assume that they are not authentic.Philip0 -
I've seen assorted autographs turn up on Flog It. They don't usually make any "big money", but some pieces are rare (rare = £1000, say).
It's worth checking when/where any Flog It programmes will be based this year and seeing if you can get to one. At least that way you'll feel you've had a better "proper valuation" than any High Street shop. And/or look through old episodes online to try to hear what they've said in the past for yourself.
You can also Google to see what they've achieved in past auctions as this sort of thing is often in the newspapers. e.g. this woman got £1500 for an assortment of autographs.
http://www.thestar.co.uk/whats-on/out-and-about/flog-it-sheffield-heirlooms-under-tv-hammer-1-5230875Susan Turton, 63, from Wadsley, made £1,500 from a set of Beatles, Small Faces, The Hollies, Cilla Black, The Searchers and The Tremeloes autographs she collected as a teenager. “I’m a bit tearful,” said the retired clerical assistant. “I’ve had them since I was 14, that’s a part of my life that’s just gone under the hammer. “I used to go to all the concerts, then get up early next morning and wait outside the hotels for a glimpse of the stars. The Beatles were lovely - they recognised us outside The Grand Hotel in Barker’s Pool in 1963 and invited us in to speak to them. “I can’t believe how much they’ve sold for.”0 -

Ticket stubs or concert attendance doesnt really help. They used to collect autograph books at the stage door and get a roadie to sign them before returning the books0 -

A genuine authenticated set of Beatles autographs especially when dedicated ie "To Shirl.. thanks for buying our records.. John Paul etc. etc.." is worth easily 2-4 K. Rolling Stones autographs (with Brian Jones) not far behind.
If you want to know if you have something good then ring Philips / Christies / Sotherbies. They will give you a free authentication for no more than the cost of a registered envelope in each direction.
Their experts will know if they are genuine or not, and if they are, you will get the best possible price when sold through a specialist auction. you have nothing to lose but the price of a phone call. & £12 postage.0
