    Be careful when thinking about changing doors, frequently hinge patterns don't align and if you're doing the work yourself it can take a bit of time to get this right depending on your skill level. Are your doors solid wood or chipboard/mdf covered in a laminate or foil? If they are solid it is very easy to sand and paint, change the hardware if you want. You'd be surprised at the difference I will make. As for cutting out hob and sink holes, use the old top as a template if you want to reuse the existing.

    I think they're probably the mdf type with a glossed oak textured finish. Thanks for the pointers.

    Shabby Chic is on page 1 of the old style forum at the moment . If it isn't there when you post try the next page etc .

    Money I have two step stools from Ikea but the steps don't fold away .
    The name escapes me but Stenstorp comes to mind , could be something else entirely as I have a number of handy ikea items :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
