Tesco Internet Saver - Is this really an instant account?

I have 2 current accounts with Tesco and recently opened an Internet Saver which is suppose to be an instant access account:-)
I am having problems getting money out of my IS account and I keep getting the message you can not transfer money at this time :(
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
How long will I have to wait before the account lives up to its name and becomes instant?

Thanks in advance

Happened here. It may work after a few weeks, did for us, or you may need to give them a call and get it sorted.

  • Been a Tesco customer for a while. Opened a new internet saver and found could not make withdrawals a couple of days later. Quick phone call and all sorted.

Only had a problem with mine once via app, but I immediately logged into internet banking and the money transferred without issue.

Certainly more instant access than The Coventry, where there is always a one day delay.

Have Tesco asked you for any documents? Perhaps these haven't been properly processed.

Called Tesco and they said a couple of days and try again tomorrow, so I'm hoping that the issue is sorted :-) Thanks for all the replies :-)

I've opened four of these and all required a day or two before they were active, just be Zen about it :)

I had the same issue back when they were opened (several weeks after opening) - since I didn't really need to shift the money at that point I left it & they did all allow me to move it a few weeks later.
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
