Perhaps he doesn't want to speak to her?
Perhaps he doesn't want to be a landlord?
She can ofcourse force a sale, that's why we have courts.
Thanks for your contribution Guest101. I understand there are two sides to every story, and I'm not knocking him for being successful, it should be commended. They are equally to blame in my opinion. Yes, I think it was a mistake she moved out and rented privately, and yes she should have contributed more (i know she would have done had she not moved).
And yes fair enough if he doesn't want to be a landlord that's fine, then rule that option out But why need to drag it through the courts when this could be resolved by having a civil discussion. I don't understand why any intelligent person would not protect his own interests for the sake of spite (as its his credit rating taking a hit too)
Maybe i'm slightly biased in calling him a douche but I know a bit more of the background when they were together. and he was a douche back then, that.s why they split. Maybe he's bitter about her leaving him.0 -

I don't understand why any intelligent person would not protect his own interests for the sake of spite (as its his credit rating taking a hit too) - They have a dispute, the court can settle it. That is literally their only purpose. Perhaps he expects the rise in value to basically override any 'loss'

That seems unlikely: he moved in with another partner0 -
That seems unlikely: he moved in with another partner
It's not unlikely its fact! and I don't mean he walked directly out of one house into the house of another partner, it was a short period after he was shacked up with someone else several years his senior. Not that I should have to justify this comment.0 -
