Hi All,
My company received a PCN from APOCA Parking on the 30/12/16 which aledges me (the driver) of having not paid for paying at Broadway Plaza on the 14/11/16. I currently drive a company car and parked at Broadway parking where a ticket less system is used, in regards to the PCN I have correctly paid for the parking and have a bank statement which demonstrates this.
Therefore I am looking to appeal this PCN, within the notice APCOA Parking request, my name, address and VRM. As I have never encountered this before I am unsure if it is wise to include any of these details and therefore was hoping for assistance. Additionally I am unsure whether to attach my bank statement as part of my initial appeal.
I have copied my initial response below and would be grateful for some feedback on the best way of approaching this,thanks.
On the 30th December 2016 the hirer of the vehicle registered XXXXX (VRM: XXX) received parking charge notice (PCN) for the alleged “use of a private car park without making valid payment” at Broadway Plaza, Birmingham. In reply to this parking charge I (the driver) would be grateful if you could please consider my appeal for the reasons outlined below.
During my visit to Odeon cinema I was instructed by the staff to input my registration within the customer parking interface within the cinema however as I could not recall my registration I was provided with an alternative set of digits to validate my parking on my exit.
When existing the cinema I was able to validate my parking and pay for my visit as required, I have attached a copy of my bank statement which details card payments made at Odeon cinema and to APOCA Parking Ltd during my visit. In total APOCA Parking Ltd have been paid a total of £3.00 from my account, I believe there has been an error on part of APOCA Parking Ltd in issue of this PCN, I therefore request my appeal is upheld. I hope the attached bank statement proves conclusive in my attendance to Odeon cinema and payment for parking.
In addition to my appeal I would like to request a refund of £3.00 as cinema customers are offered free parking for up to a 3 hours stay (as per the following link; (Relevant website link]). After reviewing the PCN issued (attached) by APOCA Parking Ltd, my arrival is recorded at 12:55:12 and my departure at 15:37:21 therefore my total stay was for 2 hours and 42 minutes which is less than 3 hours mentioned in the offer. In light of the above I was incorrectly charged £3.00 and am due a reimbursement of £3.00 as my stay was for less than 3 hours.
I hope further clarification can be made on the matters mentioned and a swift resolution can be reached I look forward to your reply.
