Got the kick into reality I needed when was effused a loan to consolidate my debts.
Wrote down everything I owed, spent, etc. What a shock ! I know we've had Christmas, but was spending more than I actually earn without realising it!
I am very lucky to have a full time job. Something that hasn't always been the case for me. can't believe how stupid I've been with money . I've never budgeted, but will be now, as have been spending money on. . .stuff.
Am determined to get on top of my debts this year as would also like to save for a house. Want to be a debt free wannabe whilst having (free) fun.
Love reading the other diaries, etc to keep me inspired .

First thing I think will be to actually have a budget for a month. Was really surprised at how much I was sending on my card AND taking out of the ATM as well as my loans and cc loan.

Thanks Disco Dolly.
Right, here goes ;
cc debt: 4148
loan: 753.63
loan: 3799.25
= £8700.63 (I feel physically sick ).
That's not even including the overdraft. I could cry. I know compared to some people's debts, it's not high, but for me, I cant believe I got to this place and nothing to show for it.
Going through my budget though was an eye opener, I took over £350 out from ATM's. I don't need that much in a month and spent WAY more than I earn.
Feeling thoroughly depressed right now.0 -
:hello:
Please don't be depressed. You are here now and getting it sorted. Wishing you luck. xxx2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

Thanks Poor Single Lady. I don't know where to start really. At first I thought should I just pay off my smallest loan. Then I thought maybe I'll try to read up what 0% is, then thought maybe I'd jut pay off a load on my highest interest card. Arrrrgh!!
Oh, I can't post smiles on my computer :-(.
Had a NSD today. Nearly went to the shop to buy coke and chocolate - neither of which I actually need! Would've been yesterday too, but had to buy some medicine.
Have started to look at how to get some freebies, and then either use them if I run out of things or maybe uses them as presents.
Ugh -why id I get myself into this mess? Am so cross with myself.0 -
I also found out I wasn't on the electoral roll, - I moved - but forgot to update this! Maybe that'll help my credit score in the future, because have completely messed it up atm. Although I can't even look that up!0
