Sun Holidays - any particularly good campsites in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire or NE?

Hello all,
We are planning on booking a Sun holiday for this summer with our twin boys that will be about 5 months old (not born yet!).
We had a great experience going to Brittany a few years back and have decided to stay close to home this year.
We live in Derby so not wanting a very long drive with 2 babies.
Any suggestions of particularly nice campsites in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire or the North East?
We have been researching and so far we like the look of:
Haven Lakeland
Butlins Skegness
Haven Primrose Valley.
Also, is it a safer bet to go with a known name such as Haven? Are they generally better quality?
Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks

As Park Resorts and Parkdean have become one company they're a bit of an unknown quality and if investment is going to be made it could take time.
For that reason I would choose Haven over them, but Butlins is so much better, and even at 5 months old if they're water babies they could adore the Butlins waterworld.
Could be worth trying for a Just for Tots break.
Wherever you go if they try to charge for entertainment passes for the babies phone and have the charge taken off0 -
Thanks very much for your help
I've had a look at the just for tots holidays and they look good but much more expensive so we will see how we get on with the sun ones first.
Thanks0 -

In the brochure that came with Saturdays paper ,on the Butlins Skeggy charges it mentions Just for Tots dates
March 13, April 24, May 15, June 12, September 11, and October 9th
Could be worth a try 😊0 -
I've been to Primrose Valley with sun holidays as well as Butlins Skeggy and Bognor.
Primrose valley is nice, but i agree Butlins are much better value, far more to do and it's nearly all included in the price (assuming you pay the extra £15 per person entertainment pass). Everything at Haven costs extra, soon adds up.
You should easily be able to get one of the 'just for tots' breaks with the sun, that is just the name Butlins give to their mid week, term time breaks, they're 'just for tots' cos the older kids are at school, these are generally the cheaper Butlins breaks, so are the ones most often found on sun holidays.
Note that these £10 holidays are never £10, once you add in linen and entertainment passes, plus a food package if required, it can add up. for instance we went to Bognor Mon-Thurs the week before Xmas and in total it cost £38 sun holiday + £60 entertainment passes + £16 linen charge + £155 food package (breakfast and lunch in buffet resteraunt) so total was £269, but i still thought it was good value for a Christmas break with all our food, santa's grotto, panto, fairground rides, swimming, shows etc all in.0 -
Other dates worth considering for Butlins,Skeggy is the Pay Only dates
With these both Service Charge and Entertainment passes are free
PAY ONLY £9.50 Mar 20, Sep 18, Oct 30
PAY ONLY £15 Jun 16, 260
