Pip decision

Options
HI

I recently had a home assessment changing from DLA to PIP..

I know the paperwork says the assessor does not make the decision but how much does the DM go by their report? My assessor said I should be entitled to enhanced on both parts but not sure what the DM will go by.
TIA

There is no definitive answer, but as I understand it the DM will usually make their decision based on the assessor's report.

I would take it as a positive sign, but don't take the assessor's statement as gospel.

When I was assessed, I asked her what her opinion was of the outcome and she said to me 'well, you have been getting the enhanced rate of mobility for 15 years, haven't you?'

    The outcome was standard mobility.

I asked for the report and it was mostly accurate, just a few little things that I didn't agree with.

I was awarded standard rate care as well though, which I have never had and wasn't expecting, to be honest. :)
