Any experience with the Experian Credit matcher?

in Credit cards
Or any other pre-application checks?
I've used the Experian free credit matcher and score tool, I score quite highly on 'good'. It suggests I have a 90% chance of getting any of the Barclays cards, although was specifically looking at the Freedom rewards one
(I currently have an old £500 student credit card I want to close and get a new one I can actually earn rewards with).
However, on the Barclays website they offer their own pre-application check. Put my details in this and it just states based on my current circumstances I am not eligible for their credit cards with no further explanation!
Anyone have any idea why I could be getting declined already? I put in that I've lived in my current home for one year (rented) but previous home for three years, and make £25k per year working full time.
Thanks!

I'd suggest contacting Barclaycard and seeing if you can upgrade your existing student credit card to one of their Freedom Rewards one.
At one time you could hold two Barclaycard credit cards but think it's reverted back to one again which could explain the 'decline' message. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
