Which type carpet underlay

Hi Looking to get our lounge carpet redone. Will get underlay from tradepriced.co.uk.

Any suggestions as to which of the PU or felt type one is better. We have concrete floor with no underfloor heating. Obviously being lounge it will be heavy used but we intend to change to wood flooring in 4 yrs time when kids r bit older. So more looking at comfort rather than longevity. If it matters we r getting synthetic bleach cleanable carpet.

Thanks for your help.

Get Cloud9 or Tredair Dreamwalk...both are near identical. I have this upstairs under some £12/m2 Associated Weavers Temptation carpet and it is extremely soft and comfy.

As thick as you can afford/manage. Remember the doors need to open.
