Completely agree about not involving CAB now. Too late. But I did suggest it before Xmas.
Agree also that going through the MR/appeal is not desirable - but, as you say, we are where we are. I am still inclined to the view that there is a pretty good chance of the friend/OP getting ESA continuing - well, based on what has been said here, anyway.
I just worry that a hastily completed ESA50 might, actually, have an adverse effect0 -
Agree Neil ; this is a no win scenario. On balance I still think it's best to attempt to download and prepare a succinct, focussed ESA 50. We all know that for long term mental health claimants there are 3-4 key activities that rack up the points, namely Activities 13, 14, 16 and 17 - Activity 14 (coping with change) and 17 (inappropriate behaviour - "historically" leading to SG substantial risk descriptor) being the most common.
See the OP has been offline for some 4-5 hrs, so I'll park this matter, unless the (understandably confused) OP gets back in touch.0 -
hi thanks all to the responses. And apologies to Philanthro! other people have suggested not to go to the assessment!!could you read this advice ( else offered below) and suggest an opinion? running out of time. On one hand i am trying to go through descriptors info (which im struggling with, perhaps you can help) which is driving me mad and on the other I'm inclined to attempt to get the appointment cancelled which seems the
best case scenario. could you offer advice on this? it seems these are the options:
1 Refuse to go full stop on Tuesday and demand another appointment
2 Go to assessment with a documented letter stating that this is completely unfair without an esa50 filled in and is evidence and grounds to appeal (if the assessment goes against us)
3 Go to assessment with a Downloaded and Rushed filled in Esa 50 form and demand it is handed in with other evidence at the assessment?
Anything else you may suggest??0
