System Image Restore

I have Windows 10 which as far as I remember was an in-place upgrade of Windows 7 Pro.
I've decided I'd quite like to go back to Windows 7 and had made a system image of it using the Windows backup utility before upgrading to 10. The system image is stored on 3 DVD's.
I have long ago deleted the windows.old folder so I understand downgrading from within Windows 10 isn't possible, and it seems my only option is to boot to a Windows install DVD, and use the Repair / Restore option from there.
My concern is, I have other partitions on the drive - one NTFS partition containing user files, and two separate Linux installs. Will restoring the system image wipe out these other partitions? I've walked through the restore option up to what appears to be the point of no return, and nowhere does it ask which partition I want to restore to, so I'm nevous about proceeding.

Back up and run a clean install of Windows 7 from boot, utilising Drive options(Advanced) then deleting the partition you don't want and installing Windows 7 to the newly unallocated space, leaving your other partitions intact.
