I was called by a sky salesperson and offered a deal if i switched internet and phone over to them, the deal was fibre broadband all calls inclusive national and international, saving about £10 per month so I thought why not.
Got my first bill last week and they have charged me for international calls, so I called them explained to the chap what had happened and he said that they would have to go back to the recording and get back to me.
Just had a call from sky admitting that the salesman mis sold me my package, they would wipe off the international calls but moving toward would charge me an additional £4 per month or would cancel the contract. Can they do this ?

Yes, they can cancel the contract if they put you back in the same position you were in before it commenced. They can also increase the price at any time, since it's not a fixed price contract anyway.
But, given that they've accepted mis-selling, if you speak to a supervisor who has a clue, then I would expect them to offer you the same deal without the £4 surcharge for the duration of the minimum term.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks for that, I already spoke to the supervisor with no movement from from him. I understand regarding not a fixed contract to pricing, but surely I should get at least what I was sold at the price I was sold it.0

No - it was an error (which they acknowledged) they have agreed to resolve the disparity, but not offer you a tariff that does not exist! The company is not obliged to make good the mistake other than ensure any loss to you is mitigated.0

Am I understanding you correctly that they'll only charge you an extra £4 per month to include International calls?0

Anytime Extra to UK landlines and mobiles is £8 and International Extra £12, so that's where the extra £4 comes in.0 -
Forget phoning. Make a written complaint, pointing out that they have admitted mis-selling, and ask them to put you back in the same position you would have been in, by means of making a £48 credit to your account.
Doing it that way should be within the remit of the supervisor. Whenever i renew with Sky I request a 'loyalty' offer, and they have invariably offered me an immediate £50 credit.No free lunch, and no free laptop

@macman,
Wise words indeed, given all online chats and telephone calls are recorded and Sky have admitted mis-selling - happened to me only last Tuesday - state case verbally by phone and also forward a note in writing, after threatening to quite contract under 14 day cooling off process a Sky supervisor made one offer I refused and then offered to credit our new account with no questions asked, which I accepted as faced a £30 termination fee with PlusNet, now covered by Sky - could have haggled further, but having wasted 4 hrs of my time felt it was not worth pushing given actually signed up to a reasonable deal with Sky that had expired on Friday. Will report back after activation, which I hope proceeds with no pain!0
