Their

Looks competive :-

Unit costs

Current EON v19 ends in Feb and the Coop is approx £69 per year dearer ( including 30 cashback) but thats how the market seems now

Coop Energy wasn't the first, and I suspect that it will not be the last, supplier to have major problems following an IT systems upgrade. EDF went into near meltdown 3 years ago. My only dealing with the Coop was in relation to a credit balance owing from GBEnergy. I called them and a Final Bill was raised immediately with a refund 3 days later. If they were competitive on prices, I would have no reservations about switching to them.

  • Their IT upgrade was a disaster. They couldn't produce bills. The new site didn't work and looked like it had been designed by a 5-year-old. It was a nightmare trying to get anyting sorted out. Phones were never answered, emails ignored, complaints brushed aside. Fair to say I won't be going back!

Has the IT upgrade been completed now? Are things running any better? Considering switching to them.

I have no problems with then being using them for over 3 years. I get billed regularly and they email me to send them meter readings which I enter them online. I am currently on this tariff

I think this tariff has just gone. The one available now is the Co-op Fix For Longer April 2018.

I personally found them okay. They did charge me last year for changing tariff which is free to change tariffs with them but they soon repaid me when I emailed them, they replied with 18 hours.

Thing is almost every company has bad reviews, even EDF, who I've been with for 3 years and never had a problem with. I'm used to providing monthly readings which I prefer to do anyway. Fingers crossed I won't have any problems switching lol

Your right every company has problems the bigger the company the more complaints there will be due to there size.

I am more than happy with them and I always get warm home broad group paid as i did this month.

I know there not the cheapest around but have to factor in the warm home discount as well.
  • Every company gets complaints but some got more than their fair share.

Co-op, NPower, Scottish Power and Extra get the worst feedback. Some are happy with them but many aren't.
