Definition of "Date of Purchase"

I ordered and paid for, a washing machine on 2nd Dec 2016 and it was delivered on 10th Dec 2016.

When I registered the machine with the manufacturer, for the standard two year warranty, I quoted the date of purchase as 10th Dec, the day it was delivered.

I have just bought extended warranty from the manufacturer (cheaper than the dealer I bought it from) and quoted the same date as date of purchase.

Is this correct? Or should I have put the date I ordered it? My reasoning is that the warranty should start only when I have use of the machine.

If I need to call on the warranty, I don't want the insurance company getting funny about the dates.

Ask the warranty provider - they are the only ones that can answer as it will be their rules/T&C's that you need to comply with.
All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

I've just sent them an email. I'll report back with their advice.
  • I don't think they will call you 'criminal' for being 4 days out either way.
