did I do well?

Options
just went to my local farmers market, the organic diced shoulder of lamb was £8.25 per kg (just checked Tesco and organic diced lamb, , is £14.99 per kg on there).

I asked how much if I bought 5kg (we eat a lot of Moroccan stewed lamb dishes so is worth getting a lot for the freezer) and she said £7 per kilo. I said £6.50? and she said yes!!!

did I do good? I feel like I did when I compare it to the supermarket lamb prices.

what do you think, do you know anywhere cheaper?

well, I only went for a look and maybe to buy some lamb (as I knew Forsters would be there) but ended buying lamb, black pudding (from the guys that are one of Rick Stein's food heroes) they also supply veggie BP to Simon Rimmer's 'Greens' restaurant, we also bought rose(y) veal steaks, chicken stuffed with venison and wrapped in bacon, cumberland chorizo, 2 ham shanks, smoked mackerel in garlic and herbs, and clotted cream fudge! The great thing is you can try before you buy so we were nibbling all the way round :)

Some of the stall holders take the p***, for example one guy wanted £2.25 for 1/2 lb strawberries! But, as proved, there are definitely bargains to be had at these events.
