Collective Consultation

I have been told that next week our Manager has to make a statement to all staff telling them we will all be going through a Collective Consultation. I have only found information regarding this on the Internet that says about Collective Consultation Redundancy. Does this mean we are all at risk of Redundancy?
Any help would be much appreciated.

It is strange to announce a consultation and not say what it is about.
Other than redundancy the other main possibility for a consultation would be pension changes.

I don't think it is to do with Pensions as they normally just send a letter. I think it maybe to do with changing job roles and job descriptions.0

I like the way they use the term collective consultation as if you have some input when they really are going to tell you what is going to happen
