We made the mistake of getting up early to nip to Sainsburys to grab a few bits of shopping as they have their 'Bags For Life' free all weekend. I think everyone had the same idea (or Christmas food shopping is kicking in seriously early!)
We had to have pinpoint trolley control to avoid all the lemmings leaping out in front of the trolley & then the queues at the checkouts were horrendous! We hit the check outs at around 9 & it was already 3 or 4 deep in places!
I can't wait to get back to the relative calm & predictability of Morrisons! At least they don't seem to move things around every week just for the hell of it!I always seem to spend more on a Sainsburys shop than a Morrisons one, some of the price differences are 20p or more! I guess it doesn't help though when I buy the big bags of pasta tubes & basmati rice (as that is one thing Morrisons doesn't seem to do near us).
Ah well, we are done & back now - boy I'm glad I have nothing else planned outside for today - it is chilly!Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
We do our weekly shop online at Sainsburys. That saves all the hassle of checkout queues and the slipping of things into the trolley that we didn't plan for. I love it when they are late (about one week in three) because then we get a £10 shopping voucher which more than compensates for the delivery charge currently £2.50 midweek. It's easy to find the special offers as well which we might miss instore.:beer:Any war that lasts for longer than five years should be declared a draw.:beer:0

We do our shop at Tescos online, and use this website http://tescovouchercodes.blogspot.com/ for voucher codes for money off etc. You can get voucher codes in this forum, but I find this site easier to use

Well, it's a cold, wet, miserable morning here - I don't think I'll be straying too far from the fire or the 'puter!
