Hi I have not had a laptop for 5 years, its all changed now, I have an Android tablet and was wanting something a little newer and bigger, I like the idea of a windows 10 2 in 1, it has a SSD of 128gb, Are these tablets or laptops? it has no dvd drive so how do I load software on to it? Can I use an external DVD drive to do this? also are they the same as the laptops I used to use these 2 in 1 systems? and get sluggish with age and also need auntivirus software installing? Sorry new to all this again, I have used chromebooks in the past and these started up instantly but I'm unsure if these do the same. Mainly it will be used for word processing, and browsing the web, streaming youtube and so on, I'm no gamer but I like the screen quality of this laptop.
Any advice please.

Advice :
Do not buy a 2 in 1.
They make a poor laptop and a poor tablet
Decide which you want and spend the money on that0 -
Ideally I want a laptop but my budget is max £350, I prefer a chromebook but I also want a full HD is screen but there are none available, I have a voucher from currys pc world for £300 so was going to get one, can you recommend a laptop?
Thanks0 -
Got to agree with Andy, I have one which is OK as a laptop but so poor as a tablet that I never use it in that mode (or in either of the other 2 modes that Lenovo seem to think might be useful).0

I already have a 10 inch Android tablet so the tablet side is unimportant as thats my device for carting around really, I just thought it offered a decent screen at a decent price, its the ssd I am unsure abouts, I have an external dvd writer and it seemed a good option even if it was never used in tablet mode?

You can just treat it as a laptop with touchscreen.
Good price for the spec.0 -
