Nice to see I've been vindicated.:D

My next prediction is Brexit being a great success. True, there are many obstacles to overcome, but in the long run it'll be win win.

'“The economic outlook is grey rather than black, but this would, in our view, have been the case with or without Brexit,” it added'.
I would think even this is nonsense based on extrapolation from a current setting, classic rear view mirror forecasting.
If you study past predictions you find the key thing they get wrong is not factoring in innovation and change.
Brexit will bring many innovations and thus it is impossible to conclude the future will be grey.
UK will be responsive and nimble compared to the EU. This matters to investors and thus we should see the UK over-flowing with new investment0 -
As he each day goes by the case for Brexit gets stronger and it becomes more evident that the remainiacs were talking out of their backsides.0

They knew a positive case for the EU would never wash with the British public so their only option was to go with economic scare mongering.
They should have realised that the British public don't like being threatened. If anything it only makes people more determined! It had the same effect in the indy ref where a large No lead was slowly eroded. Should have learned.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

fact is, who cares who was right? If the UK is continuing to grow, then its a win for everyone0 -
Andy Haldane says that BOE's gloomy economic predictions could be likened to a renowned Michael Fish weather gaffe.BoE chief economist Andy Haldane said criticism of economists for failing to predict the financial crisis and the impact of the Brexit vote were a "fair cop", adding that the economics profession was "to some degree in crisis".
At last we are seeing some acceptance that Project Fear was just that; an attempt to scare the public into the belief that remaining in the UK would be the best option for the UK.
Now that it has been shown NOT to work do you think this Project Fear-type propoganda as used so much by UK media might stop?
Not that we expect it to end in these forums though, eh?0 -
