Yes, but that's the labour to strip down, fit, prepare, prime, flat back, paint, flat back, paint, flat back, lacquer, refit, polish the wing and the area around it. The labour to just swap a pre-painted wing is minimal.

I guess it depends on what approach they take. Slapdash or thorough.

Some moron keyed down my drivers side. I say keyed but when i went to the bodyshop they said it was too clean to be keyed, it was more likely a knife or screwdriver (& workers had been in the area around my car at the time).

Anyway i thought he'd just be able to sand it out & paint it up blending it in nice & quick.

He quoted up £600 or so & said how he'd have to do a lot more of the door than what i thought else it'd look like a crappy job & stand out.

I guess i could've just as easily gone to someone who had said yeah no problem, £100 i'll have it done in 30 minutes mate.

Car is 5 years old.
Both costs include paint, but I recall the expensive place talking about 'blending in' and stuff whereas the cheap one didn't mention.

One will leave you with a wing which doesn't look like it has ever been changed, the other will leave you one which will stick out like a sore thumb, especially if you've got a metallic colour or your car is red.
