Don't you think that PPCs are actually doing a public service? They are regulating car parks. They only charge when you stay beyond limit? Shouldnt we congratulate them and nominate for honours?

What a strange person you are:-

PUBLIC SERVICE ? UNMONITORED SEWERS, LOADS OF RATS
    ONLY CHARGE ? DREAM ON
HONOURS ? .... INSTEAD OF A TAP ON THE SHOULDER WITH A SWORD ... CUT OFF THEIR HEADS

    Next please ..........

Should PPC have a march on streets showing all the good things they do? I know the can be a bit excessive, I also know that they illegally approach people. They are humans too and at rare times do make mistakes.

Probably they can do a family fair (like a appreciation event) where there is food, rides, drinks (ofcourse free parking).

Best to talk with IPC, be right up their street
  • There are probably plenty of good ppc's out there, we just don't hear of them. If a ppc collects the fees and actually manages the car park then there would be no need to see their names on here. Then all we need are drivers who don't park badly (you've all seen the pics,) and all would be well.

I have reasonably good experiences with NCP, mainly because they operate mostly on a "pay on exit barrier" method. However, they recently lost a lease in Derby to operate a large site, and from what was a pretty well managed site has now become a trap for the unwary.

    http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/233-space-car-park-derby-city-centre-undergo-6k/story-29020431-detail/story.html

Just how much PR BS is in that?!

"At the moment, you pay at the machines and then you have to walk back to your car and display your ticket on the windscreen.
"The number plate recognition system means you won't have to display a ticket. As you drive in, the cameras logs your number plate and communicates that to our system.
"All the driver will need to do is pay at the machine and then go off. It's a big car park so it will save them time walking back to their car with a ticket."

Ah yes - ANPR... which would conveniently lead to a situation like this... https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/2269116/motorist-fined-for-driving-round-car-park-for-11-minutes-before-leaving-because-he-could-not-find-a-space/

When I am supreme ruler of the Republic of Englandshire, these PPC rats will be the first of many people to publicly dealt with by Scaphism.

Followed by the idiot at the DVLA who has sent me a Single Justice Procedure notice for driving a SORN'd vehicle, when their evidential photograph clearly shows it on trade plates....
