Notice to Keeper - additional charges

Hi

Received a Notice to Keeper with 'Balance on our System' rather than the parking charge itself. The letter states this includes the unpaid parking charge and charges associated with recovery from the registered keeper. Just to say I wasn't the driver.

From what I read on the MSE and the Protection of Freedoms Act the Notice should tell me what the original parking charge amount is rather than their outstanding balance. Am I right to dispute the notice?

Thanks

Your post makes no sense ad you have not given enough information

Makes sense to me. The answer is that the choice is yours. If they took this to court these charges would not be allowed.

There will probably be several reasons why you would be successful if you challenged this PCN, but we will need more information to help you.

Have you read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES? This will explain most of the things you need to prevail.

I have read the Sticky Thread and the Act itself. The question is:

Does the Notice to Keeper have to separately detail the cost of the original parking charge?

They are charging me a total of £84 and I have no idea how much the original parking charge was and how much they are adding as admin charges. The rest of the notice seems to comply with the Act and I think this is the only area where I'm unclear.

    Thanks

The rest of the PCN is very UNlikely to comply with POFA ... the wording from POFA is prescriptive and must be included - the PCN won't comply.
