A few questions about travel and accommodation deductions.

Hi all, I have a few questions I'm hoping you can help me with. I work a job which involves living away for weeks at a time. Normally I provide my own accommodation but occasionally take jobs where deductions are made from our pay for travel and expenses. I'm employed directly by the companies in question on a zero hours contract. Any advice on how to mitigate the impact of these deductions would be greatly appreciated and feel free to ask for any more information.

I think you've been directed to the incorrect board. This one is for Benefits and Tax Credits.
Maybe you could try the Employment, Jobseeking and Training Board. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1410 -

You can directly to talk with your management and tell them the problems you suffered. And you can also request to provide you travel accommodation in good Weekly hotels and I think it's fair enough. Otherwise, you have to know about the tax deduction.0
