removing mirror tiles

Hi, can anyone advise how to sort this problem please,
I have 1 row of mirror tiles, which have lost their silvering, fixed with tile cement to the plasterboard, above the bath.
and I have tried to prise them off without damaging the plasterboard, but
they don't want to come free !!
they used to have double-sided sticky pads to hold them on, you can see at each corner where the silvering has faded, but at some stage they were re-fixed with tile adhesive..... :(

Any ideas how I can solve this, I intend to replace them with more white
6"x 6" tiles to match what's already below these mirror tiles,
thanks for any advice !

Nothing is going to dissolve the tile adhesive, you'll have to smash and prise them off. You'll end up with what you end up with. Most likely a mess! No particularly tidy way to demolish things.

Tile transfers/stickers instead to change the appearance?

Hi Doozergirl - so you predict I will have a smashing time then !
I have already tried using different width paint scrapers, and just cracked corners off, so it looks terrible now ....
does it matter how much the plasterboard gets destroyed, if I am going to re-tile over that area, i am hoping that can be made good with the tile cement when re-tiling.....
    Cheers !

Tile paint? :) about £10 for a small tub. should be able to get gloss white, or even another colour if you want an 'accent'.

Do they really look that bad? Antiqued mirror tiles cost a fortune!
