You own bought the entire freehold for the building? Or for the flat? Or a share of the building freehold?

If that's what you did - the freehold of just your flat and not of that above, then did your solicitor advise you that freehold flats are generally unmortgageable (except in Scarborough)?
G-M has suggested that you perhaps bought a share in the freehold of the whole building - which is a different thing. I think you need to check very carefully exactly what you did buy!RICHARD WEBSTER

a) very rare (except Scarborough - is that where you are?)
b) extremely problematc legally
c) almost impossible to get a mortgage on (because of b above) so you will struggle to sell it when the time comes
I'm still not clear what the 'Deed' you signed was. I suspect it was a new Lease with attached Plan.
If it was the Land Registry Title Deed (and Plan) you would not normally sign it during a purchase.
Have you got a copy? What does it say on the front page?0 -
Did the person you bought your flat from own the second parking space? If not, they cannot sell it to you.
If you were led to believe the second space was included you may have a claim against the seller and their agents.0
