Hi guys, I hope you can help me on this one as I never experienced such situation and I couldn't find any useful information in here.. apologies in advance if that's not accurate..
So I've been with Virgin for over 1 year and my contract looks like this:
Big Kahuna Bundle
Full House TV (XL) 1 Additional V Box V HD Monthly Fee TiVo Monthly Fee VIVID 200 Optical Fibre Talk Unlimited
Big Kahuna Bundle total£ 71.97
Promotional offer(s)
18 Month Talk Unlimited Discount Which Will End on 17-FEB-17
Promotional offer(s)CR £3.00
Phone line rental
Telephone Line Rental
Phone line rental total £19.00
Your package total £87.97
I can give a 30 days notice to them by the 17th of January and obviously I want to grab a better deal but... I'm moving to a new place in August this year and I won't know which providers will support one of the potential areas I'm considering moving to.. so what would you recommend? Can you have rolling contracts, shall I start on a new contract with a new provider, I'm a little lost to be honest... for me the most important thing is internet speed and unlimited.. thanks so much

I'm in a similar boat to yourself however I'm with Sky. We were supposed to be getting 4 months notice last May but are still waiting.
Our Sky was reverting to full price by February so bit the bullet last December and renewed for 12 months, chancy maybe but Sky shouldn't be a problem whereas Virgin could.
What happens if you don't give notice by the 17th of January? Surely that doesn't tie you in to a 1 month contract again? If it's a rolling monthly contract I'd either just pay it until then or cancel now and take a monthly rolling Plusnet BB package with Freeview or similar.
Once you've moved you have the option to become a 'new' customer with everybody if you take it out under your partners name or with a new bank account & email address at least.0
