NPE Parking ticket 3 Mins - Given drivers name

Hi

After some advice please.

My mum received a PCN through the post from CCTV from NPE for stopping her car for 3 mins to drop me off to quickly pop in a shop. She was in the car all the time.

I have tried to read the advice and see some comments on NPE however all the advice states do not in any circumstance release the true details of the driver.

Problem being that my brother in law is the registered keeper of the vehicle and responded to NPE with my mums name and address as the driver before reading the advice. She also appealed to NPE directly before telling me.

I am just trying to understand the issue with giving them her details and also what the next steps we could take to avoid paying what we believe is a ridiculous charge.

HTH, just ignore them and come back if they try a claim. No next step, certainly DO NOT PAY THEM. Defendable if they try it on.

They seemed to have branched out of Norfolk as it was in the Huntingdon (Cambridgeshire) area.


Could someone tell me please why the advice is not to give the driver details?


Also should I be appealing to the IAS once the reject the appeal (knowing the IAS will probably reject it also)

Knowing the driver means they don't have to stick to the POFA to try and get the keeper liable.


Just follow the advice in #2 and ignore everything but come back here if they try a court claim (They have 6 years to do so)
