Defaulted IVA 10 years ago still on credit report
Options
Hi all, new to this forum.
I entered into an IVA which I defaulted on. The court date for which was back in 2006. I've been slowly re-building my credit and have requested an equifax report. The IVA is still listed under court information as a public record. I thought this should have been removed after 6 years? No other companies I owned money to are listed. Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance

Is the iVA still on here?

If so, then you will need to get the IVA company to go through the official channels to notify the court etc and get the IVA formally recorded as terminated as per the correct date.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thank you - I'll check via the link and take it from there. I spoke to equifax yesterday and they said without certificate of completion it would remain there indefinitely0

Slightly incorrect, as you will never have a completion certificate as you didn't complete it, but just splitting hairs there really. A termination notice should do it, or a call from the IP or his staff may be good enough.0

Thanks for this. That was the response from equifax. So does this mean I need to contact my IVA practitioner? I believe they have ceased trading which may make things difficult. Would they provide notice of termination and would this mean I could request my credit file to be updated accordingly? Thanks0

You could ask insolvency service, they maybe able to help (I assume they have access to register info after it drops off from site)
Fermi asked about the register earlier, are you still on there ?0
