Taken a while but just a few more weeks and I'll be moving.
One thing that niggles me is could she still try to claim on the pension because we are/were ENGAGED even though we never married?

My immediate thoughts are do you have any death in service benefit where you've named her as the beneficiary?0

Need more info than that to have a clue what the answer might be0

I've taken VER from work so have a weekly pension
She is still named as a beneficiary. Plan to leave it like that unless she or I meet another partner and then discuss.0 -

Been together now since 1988. We have one son aged 23 at home.
Bought the house in joint names in 88. Now mortgage free. Combined our pay from day one to pay for everything from food, fuel, holidays, cars etc.
She works part time picking up circa £100 a week with a small company pension.
House would more than likely be sold to split proceeds.
We have reasonable savings which I’m confident would be split 50/500 -
She cannot make a claim on your pension because you were not married and therefore you cannot get divorced, which would allow her to apply for the relevant financial order .0
