Faulty bag purchased online

ADVICE NEEDED!! I recently purchased a expensive designer bag online through a social shopping site called depop & paid via PayPal. The seller describes the bag as brand new, but when I received the bag on inspection of it the stitching on the handles are coming away. I contacted the seller & they say it wasn't like that & if I want to complain then contact PayPal. I have done so and they want a receipt from a repair shop as to what damage it is. I've been to timpsoms repair shop with the bag and ask them for there help, and they won't get involved. Any advice would be appreciated as I don't know what else to do 😡😡 sorry for the long post :j

Have you followed the procedure there to see if the selling platform can help? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Thanks for the reply I'm new to this & have never experienced this before. I'm just devastated as the bag was a small fortune The seller told me to take it up with PayPal as she doesn't except returns. She never described the bag with faults and said it's brand new0

Try the page I linked above - depop apparently do offer protection if the goods are not as described. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
