Delinquent credit advise

Hi guys,
Just a quick one. I have a 'delinquent' showing on my credit report from Shop Direct (very.co.uk). I know that 3 payments were missed, as I was in hospital, but my credit repot shows 4. It has late payments showing 1,2 then 4 months late (jumping from 2 to 4).
Now I raised a dispute over 3 months ago with Experian but am yet to receive a reply from them.
What do you advise would be my next step? Do you think I have a case of this being removed? I continue to make payments early each month and was wandering if I called them and said I will clear the account balance, would they remove the delinquent payment at all?
Thanks,
ThomasB87

Are you looking at the missed payments number or months in arrears? You may be three payments and four months behind at the same time, which would make sense.
Either way, the best outcome is that it's adjusted to 3. You can, of course, barter with them, offering to repay in full now for a clean slate but I wouldn't hold my breath unless the hospital stay was very serious.
On the sunny side, as the account is now up to date this hopefully will be just one blot on otherwise perfect credit file so it will have little impact, and even less as time passes.0 -
Thanks for the reply, Arleen.
I think I understand you. I was making payments manually on their site (not even sure why I just didn't set up direct debit), so it was the last thing I remembered to do.
In my case I missed the payments for Jan, Feb and March. Soon as I realised I paid all 3 in April, along with April payment. Yet I have a delinquent 'red 4' on my score.
It is the only 'negative' on my credit score but I do want it to be as good as can be, as I'm looking at a mortgage in the next few months.
The delinquent is now 11 months old, once it goes over 12 months, does that have any effect?
Apologies for many questions.
Thanks
