I picked up a couple of the 6 in 1 Sassy Spice Pots (63g) at 50p each, they only had the Indian selection at the time, but there is also a Mexican option. The Indian selection contains the following seasonings:-

    - Tikka Masala
    - Chilli Powder
    - Biriyani
    - Tandoori
    - Rogan Josh
    - Cinnamon

I'm not sure how much they usually cost, but I think it's a great price as it's a handy little container that you just turn the lid to whichever spice you want, and refill each one when you run out.

Bisto granules for Bechamel sauce. Just add boiling water, makes 5 litres. Price £1.00. Use for lasagne, fish pie and fish sauces, Mornay sauce etc. Add cheese for a cheese sauce. Or use in pasta bakes or creamy soups.
