This board has been very helpful and an impressive amount of effort has been put into it by many posters.
From my own experience and reading many newby posts, there seems to be a need for a less complicated layout to the newby guidance pinned threads,
I have attempted to create a guide thread, by cutting, pasting and editing several threads, but I am concerned that posting it may be interpreted as casting some aspersion on the existing material or just plagiarising others work
Ideally, I would like Coupon Mad to look at it and see if it is considered helpful, but personal messaging is not possible.

On a technical basis, I am not sure what formatting is possible within the threads or how to place a Word document into a thread.
Is there any help source available?

Variations on a theme have been tried before, including a flow chart, but none have as yet been found to be an improvement on what we currently have.

C-m doesn't accept PMs as she would be swamped if she did.

She has special dispensation from MSE to have the NEWBIES as a sticky, and special posting/editing privileges to go with it. It would be very difficult to negotiate anything different

I think the only thing you can do is make your suggestions here and see what others think. The NEWBIES thread was generated from input by many other regular posters here so I'm sure no one will object to you providing constructive ideas, but be prepared to accept that there may not be a better "one size fits all" layout.

Yes, please post here because any suggestions at improvements are welcomed.

The difficulty I have is, we are only allowed two 'working' sticky threads. So, one is 'POPLA Decisions' and the other has to have all the FAQS and links, appeals and defences, debt collector advice, all on one thread.

I am planning on splitting the 'Court Defence' advice off post #1 of the NEWBIES thread and making it post #2 (moving the acronyms further down on the thread). Court defences need so much info now, I think they need their own post.

MSE is not a hosting site , which is why you cannot attach files like pics or word docs or pdf`s

use a hosting site or file site for files , like dropbox , tinypic , photobucket or one of the many file sharing sites instead (its what they are there for)
