Hello Everyone
I really need some advise im not great with ins and outs of traffic warden law and I will try and shorten this as much as I can.
Yesterday I ordered some food and went to a car park opposite, I saw a space in between two cars and reverse parked into it, across from me I saw a traffic warden looking at me and I thought that's strange maybe she doesn't think im going to pay ?. I got out of the car went to the ticket machine and got my ticket printed at 1:47 for an hour expiry 2:47 I walked back to my car with the warden still looking at me and put the ticket in and went to pick up my food, 10 minutes later I came back to the car and had a ticket ??? I called over another officer who didn't understand as I had 50 minutes left on my ticket, he opened it and said' oh it says you've parked in a motorcycle space' he walked round the back of the car and there was a post at the back which was only up to my boot so couldn't be seen in the rearview and writing in front of the space that we only saw when I pulled forward , she issued the ticket at 1:47 so as soon as she watched me leave the car park she put it on , she didn't warn me at all and the sign on the floor would not be visible to a reversing car , Please can I have some advise
Sorry I tried to shorten it as much as I can

One key piece of information is missing, who issued the ticket? From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
Yup. Nobody can help you till we know who issued the ticket
And I highly doubt "traffic warden law" will help you much as there are actually very few left, even in legit parking and the law they ticket under is now all but superceded. Most local authorities now the newer law that uses patrollers with little if any of the powers and responsibilities that wardens had.0 -
Thank you both for your reply it was Slough Borough Council that the penalty was issued by the ones that go around checking the streets , car parks etc
Sorry that was the most important bit i missed wasnt it0 -
You will be contributing towards parking company boss 2nd holiday home. Hopefully he will send a thank you letter.
On another note, I feel sorry. Ideally parking attendant should have told you its not right to park there before issuing a ticket.Bank accountsSantander : 17 year relationship, 0 problems to date.0 -
OK. This is a legit council ticket, so you will do much better to take this over to the Pepipoo forum where you will get very good advice.
Before you post there do read all the introduction stuff carefully and be ready to provide all the info they ask for (minus personal/identifying details).0 -

Are you using a hotmail email address? If so it won't accept it (everyone has trouble).
Try another email address if you have one, or create a new one (and use it just for this ticket) in Gmail/AOL/Yahoo etc.
HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
