After using Microsoft Money for 12 years, I now can't get it to run on my new Windows 10 PC.
I'm having to use my own cobbled together spreadsheet which while suitable, is not the way forward.
Can anyone recommend some personal finance software ?
It can be paid for, cheap or free.
I would like to use it on my PC and if possible, have an app to sync it between my tablet and phone too.
It doesn't need to be full of bells and whistles but just a good, solid money manager.
MSMoney has been the cornerstone of my financial planning / management so the sooner I can replace it, the better.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.

Well, amazing, you wait 2 years for a thread about MSMoney and Windows 10 and then two come along together! Glad you got it working. Any issues at all? Maybe my reasons for not changing to Windows 10 just reduced by one!0

I used QuickBooks for ages (I work in accounts so had a licence anyway) but my subscription expired in August and I'm not going to move to the online version so I too have been using a cobbled together spreadsheet.
Does anyone have any ideas of free or cheap software that will let you categorise your spending, plan it and reconcile your accounts?
If possible I'd like to be able to sync it with my iPhone
Thanks0 -
My budget book on android looks good
There's one for iPhone but I can't think what it's called. Google it. They do a metre reading program too0 -
I've had no problems with MS Money and W10, it installs without a glitch and runs problem free. Maybe I've been lucky. The only issue I've seen at times is .ofx downloads from banks sometimes get "lost". They have been downloaded into Money, but the transactions don't appear. Most of the time, a quick repair option fixes this, otherwise I wait till later when the transactions somehow magically appear.0
