What is private equity, debt markets, cash flows, capital markets, and all these terms? Is there a book to get introduced?

Private Equity is about cocktail parties.

A guy with no real qualifications would tell you about this exclusive opportunity. They burn rain forests and grow palm oil, find shaky companies like BHS, under fund the pension scheme, and sell the assets, then tell the employees there is no money for redundancy. Shh, just between you and me, you should expect 20% on your money.

He gets a cut of your money, and a free trip to the Cayman Islands. If you get invited, don't bring your cheque book.
